We began with a creative packaging concept, designing a unique bottle shape and label that depart from traditional olive imagery.
Based on this, we developed core branding elements to create a cohesive, memorable identity.
Solution
Our task was to create foundational branding — naming, logo, color palette, and fonts — along with a packaging design that not only stands out on the shelf but also reflects the product's Moroccan origin and provides functional ease of use.
Task
The project presents Moroccan olive oil from the Atlas Mountains, introducing the region’s terroir to the Gulf market.
Form factor development
This form inspired by the architectural heritage of both Morocco, where the oil is produced, and the Gulf region, the target market. The arch shape reflects a cultural link to both regions, symbolizing tradition and elegance.
We created a unique bottle design, shaped as an arch.
illustration
This bold design introduces a memorable brand character, enhancing storytelling and reinforcing the brand’s originality. It evokes emotion, ensuring a lasting impression.
For the olive oil label, we embraced surrealism with a playful twist — a bird nesting on olives, creating an unexpected, eye-catching visual that sparks curiosity and draws users in.
naiming & logotype
The bird featured on the packaging looks like a kiwi, and by blending different words, we created the name Oliwi.
This name not only sounds smooth and soft, like olive oil itself, but also serves as the bird’s playful name. To capture this essence, we used a soft, handwritten font for the logo.
The name is a natural extension of the visual concept.
