The design is based on 5 elements associated with Portuguese culture: Lisbon tram, Azulejo tiles, Portuguese football fans, Fado, Paineis de Sao Vicente de Fora.

Solution

The task was to create a sardine packaging design that reflects Portuguese culture, history, and authenticity, while rethinking a traditional souvenir in a contemporary way.

Task

Inspired by a deep personal connection to Portugal, the packaging was created to celebrate and share its character with the world.

This is exactly what Portugal itself is — a hospitable and joyful country.

Custom font resembles a felt-tip pen. All the corners of the letters are gently smoothed out, creating an overall impression of a friendly and cartoonish design.
